More and more people are unhappy with the appearance of their teeth. Whether in your professional life or when you are out socialising, an attractive smile can make you feel happier and more relaxed- as well as making the right impression.

With the invisalign technique you can have the smile you always wanted, without traditional, metal braces.

What is invisalign?

Your invisalign treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you can change every two weeks for the next set of aligners. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened into the final position prescribed by your dental surgeon.

Your treatment with invisalign

Invisalign treatment starts with a visit to your dental surgeon, who will examine your teeth, take moulds, x-rays and develop a computer model of your treatment. This ‘clincheck’ shows the series of movements your teeth will go through over the course of treatment.

This computer animated programme will show you what your teeth are expected to be like at the end of treatment. Together with your dental surgeon you can review and agree on your treatment before the aligners are made for you only.

Treatment length will vary depending on your case, but the average invisalign treatment is usually 12-18 months.

Invisalign can help to treat a variety of orthodontic concerns and studies have shown that it can be better for your dental hygiene during treatment as well.

Your treatment is nearly invisible; almost no-one will be able to tell your wearing invisalign. You can remove invisalign aligners to allow you to eat and drink what you like.
